Terms of Service.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. The service

Trifrost provides a cloud-hosted control plane for AI inference: an OpenAI-compatible API gateway with load balancing and failover across model providers, plus governance (budgets, allowlists, rate limits), spend analytics, and a tamper-evident audit log. These terms govern your use of the Trifrost service and website. By using the service you accept them on behalf of your organization.

2. Accounts and access

Access is authenticated through your organization's identity provider. Administrators manage users, virtual keys, budgets, and model allowlists through the console. You are responsible for activity under your organization's keys and for keeping your IdP configuration current.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to violate law or third-party rights, to probe or disrupt the service or its infrastructure, to attempt access to another organization's data, or to circumvent governance controls. We may suspend access to protect the service or other customers, with notice where practicable.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provider relationships — you configure which LLM providers your tenant routes to; your use of each provider remains subject to that provider's own terms.
  • Provider credentials — upstream API keys you register are stored encrypted; you are responsible for their validity and rotation.
  • Your data — you are responsible for the lawfulness of the data you send through the service.

5. Fees and billing

Fees follow your plan as described at Pricing or in your order form. Usage is metered per request and attributed to sessions, users, keys, and departments as shown in the console. Invoices are payable on the terms stated on them.

6. Service levels

Enterprise plans include a service level agreement with defined availability targets and remedies, set out in your order form. We publish roadmap and operational changes in the changelog.

7. Warranties

We warrant that the service will materially conform to its documentation. Otherwise the service is provided as is, and we disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. Model output is generated by third-party providers; we do not warrant its accuracy.

8. Liability

Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Each party's aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid or payable in the twelve months preceding the claim, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

9. Term and termination

These terms apply while you use the service. Either party may terminate for material breach that is not cured within 30 days of notice. On termination, your data is handled as described in the Data Processing Addendum, and export is available before deletion.

10. Governing law

Governing law and venue are set out in your order form. [Placeholder — confirmed per customer contract.]
